Village Paths (1981)

The final set of dungeon tiles from Board-Craft Simulations, Village Paths appeared in 1981. Of the three, this one feels like a bit of a reach in terms of content and it doesn’t surprise me that there wasn’t a fourth box.

The box art is probably the main draw, sporting a weird composition by Lisa A. Free, a longtime Chaosium illustrator (known mostly for Pendragon work). Cool, weird, kind of cheap (I don’t think anything in this box is printed straight) – all the things that make early RPG products endearing.
