Thanks for sharing, Stu! I also loved Castle Xintillan, so would be disappointed if the author holds transphobic views. I went looking for the comments from Lux you mentioned – I believe maybe they stem from the comments thread on Tenfootpole’s review of “Down and Out in a Schleswig Sanatorium”? Are those the comments you found offensive?
That’s part of it, yes (though I wouldn’t say I was offended so much as disappointed). There is a larger pattern there and I’ve long been wary of him, so the recent comments amount to a clarifying moment for me.
