Last weekend, I holed up in the workshop, thinking that if I painted miniatures it would take my mind off the incredible nerves I was developing ahead of the debut of my WFMU radio show. Ha, boy, was I wrong. I merely created a tranquil space to hyperfixate on my irrational anxiety. But I did get a couple things painted.
It's about the fourth or fifth time I painted that damned snake and while I rate him as merely "OK" he is done, and that is the important thing. The adventurer covered in green slime and dying horribly was a surprisingly long paint, I started it a while ago and this time I just wanted do to highlights to finish it up and I noodled with it for hours and hours. I hated the result at first, but I think maybe it's pretty OK? Certainly got a lot of blending practice in.
It occurs to me, too, that I didn't share the last batch I did, so they're here too. Another orc for the army, a Ral Partha anti-paladin and a sinister-looking mushroom guy. |
