]]> Can’t complain much about a monster book. Especially one with a badass wingless manticore on it. Methinks that wyvern is done for.

This one is all about the art and it does a better job overall of staying in line with my RuneQuest preconceptions. Mostly. Lots of nice Broo. Those ducks are legendary. A duck with abs! What is going on there? The dragon snail is nice as well and that is maybe the best illustration of a gorp ever, which seems very on brand for GW to nail. Other art is just nice without being particularly RuneQuesty, like that moody sea serpent painting.

There is still some WTF though. Like the painting of the Chonchon (the heads that fly using their oversized ears as wings). They’re from Peruvian folklore and I adore them even if I can’t really take them seriously. On the other hand, I have no idea what to make of that chaos lady at all. High heels are not very bronze age.
