For all its delight as a system and a sandbox for players, Pendragon doesn’t have a ton of great adventures (that’s because there’s only really one campaign, but we’ll get to that on Friday). As a rule of thumb, every session of Pendragon is supposed to encompass an calendar year, with much of that dedicated to housekeeping and other responsibilities at court. Good knights simply don’t have time to quest more than once a year, so most adventures in Pendragon are bite-sized, with strong thematic connections to their place within the overarching campaign.

That said, when you get a Pendragon adventure that is set in a single year but is obviously going to take more than one session, you’re almost always in for a treat. The Grey Knight is one such goodie. Perhaps, because it was written by Larry DiTillio, who also penned Masks of Nyarlathotep.
I won’t go into too much detail, because I intend to run this for my group in the near future, but the quest involves a famous knight, Gawain, and gives players the chance to be instrumental in saving him from a terrible doom. Even better, it nicely foreshadows future events and has some super creepy art. Like Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark level creepy.
