This is Dragon Magazine 75, from July, 1983. I love how though it came out firmly in the 80s, Jack Crane’s cover still looks thoroughly 70s to me. Anyway, I thought this was a pretty appropriate cover to share in the middle of July.

Inside are a couple things of note. First is the “Ecology of the Mimic,” one of the best in the series in my humble opinion.
Second is part one of Ed Greenwood’s landmark two-part series on the Nine Hells, one of my favorite bits of D&D writing ever. That Elmore illustration is pretty special, too.
Dave Trampier’s Wormy, which I need to give greater attention to someday, also has a heck of a full page illustration this issue.
