Dragon Magazine 88, from August of 1984. Always liked this James Holloway cover. This is before the days when they blurbed what the cover depicted, but I always thought of these as norkers for some reason.

Of note inside, Ed Greenwood’s “Ecology of the Rust Monster,” another classic, and an article devoted to the physics of fall damage (so nerdy). There’s also an insert board game called Elefant Hunt, which, leave the elefants alone, man. Otherwise, a pretty standard issue of the era.
