Mouths of the Entwash (1988)

Sometimes, I think Angus McBride was the worst thing that could have happened to MERP, because his covers are so awesome and evocative, even the best adventure modules would struggle to meet their expectations. So it goes with Mouths of the Entwash (1988). Look at that terrifying mewlip.

There’s the usual taste of regional flora, fauna (all you want to know about the local catfish and more) and history fronting three  scenarios. The first involves catching criminals on the lam. The second is a murder mystery focusing on tainted booze. The last one involves mewlips (finally), a curse and a missing ring. Its easily the best of the three, but still a little by the numbers.

At least we got that cover painting.
