My accumulation of vintage books that could have easily been on the "Unexplained" shelf of my local library continues. It's nice that I can practically buy these by the pound, but also makes me a little sad, less because folks don't care about these particular books (more fools they), more because I'm pretty sure there just isn't an "Unexplained" shelf at Kearny Public at all anymore. That was a real window into wonder for Childe Stu.
Anyway, the Little People book already came in handy, so that's a bonus. Also very keen to finally check out the D'Aulaires' books on mythology - they seem to be really important for a lot of folks in terms of the nexus between RPGs and real-world mythology. My mythological obsessions came from different sources (1, 2) so I entirely missed these. 'Til now! |
