The final Demons monster compendium is Denizens of Diannor (1993), which is one of the very last Role Aids products to see release before TSR bought the line. A group of writers contribute here, Mike Nystul evidently having been exhausted of new demons. Dan Gelon did the cover, Alex Nino did all the interiors. I like their work, but it has a sketchy quality that often renders it indistinct and gives a sense that it was delivered in a rush. I love the one smoking skeleton that apparently uses a giant cross tombstone with “forgiveness” carved on the front as its weapon.

Again, most of the profiles are for unique infernal functionaries. With the exception of some rank-and-file monsters in the first book, that makes four volumes of extremely powerful NPC entities, on top of all the beasties in the two box sets. I’m not sure what I am meant to do with all of them? I like ‘em, there’s definitely a lot of inspiration to be drawn here, but the sheer quantity is overwhelming.
