Eyes Only (2007), is maybe my favorite of the Pagan Publishing Delta Green sourcebooks? It collects three previous publications — one on the secret plans of the fungi from Yuggoth, one on the US government’s time travel program Project Rainbow and one on The Fate, the cult/crime syndicate that rules NYC’s underground. The fungi stuff is fun, I kind of bounce off Project Rainbow (it’s the Cthulhu Mythos explanation for the Philadelphia Experiment and real world lore about that never did it for me). But the Fate! I love the Fate.

The Fate is run by Stephen Alzis, a guy who might be Nyarlathotep, who comes back no matter how many times you kill him, who runs his cult like a crime syndicate, a corporation and a night club, depending on where he is standing. One of his lieutenants is a terrifying villain from the Masks of Nyarlathotep campaign. There’s a house band. There’s a former Nazi who is also a servitor of Glaaki who manages the house band. It’s a bizarre organization that really should seem dumb on paper but it all works somehow. Possibly because all the source material directly supports the scenario Holy War in the back of the book, the events of which shake the Fate to their core. Its my favorite of the Pagan Publishing Delta Green scenarios.

I don’t love the interior art here. Very strong Poser vibes (the digital art program, not, like, a poseur).
