Ending the week (and pretty much the year) with a bit of whimsy. The UK has no shortage of gardens, so I thought the transition from Vaesen would be at least feasible if not smooth. This is the Goblins & Gardens Tarot Deck (2022), by Jonathan Sacha.

The concept is simple: what if you combine collaged elements taken from vintage D&D books with element taken from vintage gardening books? The answer, to my eye, is pure delight. Sacha’s a wizard with the X-acto. Look at how proud that cloud giant is of his garden! Who knew liches loved strawberries? What do you think a beholder wishes for when it blows on a dandelion? Absolutely wonderful.
