Transylvania (1981)

Transylvania (1981) is an early wargame by Mayfair Games that pits two players against each other. One takes the role of the vampire lord of the castle; the other manages the villagers who are fed up with the vampire’s depredations. It’s all-out war between the two factions, ending only when the forces of evil occupy the village for three turns, or the villager occupy the castle for two. It’s fine, I guess, but I’m unlikely to ever play it.

I bought it because that cover is awesome. Skeleton guy totally has the jump on that knight. Why didn’t they set a watch? Damn, play dumb, fail dumb. Somewhat amusing thing: the artist is Lois Griffin and I am not much of a Family Guy guy, but my head canon is now that Lois is a tabletop gamer.
