Sears Wish Book (1984)

The 1984 Sears Wish Book is the final one to include Dungeons & Dragons. To my knowledge, the LJN toy line never showed up in the catalog, but you can see how D&D has come into its own as a brand at this point. It gets a whole page with none of its competitors in the catalog at all.

I don’t know if you can read the caption for the dragon miniature but it is pretty priceless. “As your adventuring party explores the different levels of the dungeon, they will encounter the Golden Dragon, one of the mightiest beasts that lives within! But beware, magic is the only weapon that will save you! We believe this dragon is one of the finest, most enchanting sculpted-metal models ever created. The proof lies in the exquisite detail and craftsmanship. The dragon is essential for role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons.” Ain’t that a hoot?

I included the A-Team van and the updates Crossbows & Catapults line just for fun.
