A busy week in real life, so a break week in Vintage RPG Land. This week, I give you five lovely Dragon Magazine covers.

The first is Issue 100 by Dennis Kauth. Of all the covers of Dragon, this one has always seemed the most magical. That’s because it isn’t an illustration at all. Rather, it’s a paper sculpture, built up layer by layer from a flat background, then lit and photographed. I simply can’t comprehend the amount of work that went into this, or even how you go about something like this.
