Going to wind down the year with Series II of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Instant Rub-Down Picture Transfers. Jeeze, that is a hell of a product name. They’re from 1981 and, if I recall correctly, you cut the picture out of the sheet, take off the backing, place it on a piece of paper, rub firmly with a pencil and voila! The picture transfers to the paper. Like a less exciting fake tattoo.

This bunch of doofuses is a selection of player characters. All the other art from these transfers were copies of art from the Monster Manual and Fiend Folio (see later this week), but most of these? I have no idea where these came from. I guess they’re original? The fellow in the platemail, though, is the famous Paladin in Hell. The central Male Fighter and the Male Thief also look familiar…
