I’m glad you’re the one I learned about Barker from. And kudos for those excellent gifs. After literally 40 years of feeling the opposite, I’m now shocked to find myself glad Tekumel made as little headway as it did.
I definitely didn’t notice that spider on the cover of the MM at first! But I’m pretty sure I did after I’d had the book for just a couple of years. Definitely remember being stunned that I hadn’t seen it at first. Fuckin’ sneaky spider!
