I’ve never read the Foundation trilogy! I’ve not even seen the TV show, though I’ve heard it is pretty good. I mostly know it as the butt of a central joke in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. One of these days I’ll get around to it.

However, I do love a good Chris Foss spaceship painting. These three are pretty great and actually form a single composition. Also worth nothing that the 1974 set, which comes in a nice little slipcase, is from the UK publisher Panther. I don’t know why UK books feel different in the hand, but they do. I like it.
