Tome, by World Champ Game Co, is a zine of system agnostic RPG resources Kickstarted last year. Each one is based on a prompt from Inktober 2018, which results in quite the potpourri of material. There’s some unusual poisons, a dungeon or two, a table for generating NPC twins, piles of plot hooks, roleplaying prompts and more.

All this stuff is easy to parse and gets your GM brain juices flowing – even if you don’t find something to use as it is, I guarantee you’ll come away with a pile of your own ideas just flipping through the book.
I wish there were more books like this. Most stuff out there is either a system or a fully formed scenario. When I run a homebrew D&D campaign, though, what I am most often looking for are seeds for a specific session that I can play with and mold into something weird and fun for my players. In the past, I usually have to rely on whatever movie, book or game I was last paying attention to for inspiration. Tome, on the other hand, offers up exactly what I need.
So, more like this please. Also, books of random tables. Thank you.
