Serpent Rider (1983)

In 1983, DFC released a line of action figures in order to either beat the official LJN line of D&D toys to the market, or just capitalize on their popularity. Accounts vary. The action figures are hilariously generic, boasting names like Wizard and Dragon Man. There are also a number of “riding beasts” straight out of your nightmares. I will never shell out the money for Fantar, the “horse-like creature,” so go on and Google that one.

Anyway, this is the Serpent Rider, a weird two-headed dragon on wheels that has a seat that you can’t actually stick a figure into. I have a weakness for weird two-headed dragons, so there you go. Note the general posture of the body, though; you’ll see it reflected in something in a post later this week.
