Dragon Magazine 134 has the first, and to my knowledge, only Charles Vess painting to grace its cover. Vess is a legendary comics artist, influenced to my eye by Arthur Rackham and Hal Foster, and probably best known for his collaborations with Neil Gaiman (particularly Stardust). The relative lack of crossover between Vess and the RPG industry is rather surprising, now that I think about it. Someone should tap him to develop a Mouse Guard-style RPG.
