Even more so than the mutants, the Fantastic Four represents a weird and disparate slice of the Marvel universe and it often requires information on tech and locations to feel complete, so of all the Marvel Super Heroes RPG sourcebooks, The Fantastic Four Compendium seems like the most reasonable of them. I love the broad range of the Fantastic Four villains — you got Mole Man right there with Galactus? Talk about a wide spectrum of power.

I always wanted to like the FF more than I did. There is something so perfect about their aesthetic, when it is done right. Doctor Doom of course, but they also make weirdo villains like Psycho-Man and Molecule Man work. It is all super science in an extremely early 60s way that I find appealing in concept but startlingly boring in execution (literally the boringest hero characters ever conceived).
